Chick-fil-A Won’t Pray With You Unless You Order Combo

The company says prayer support remains available for guests who commit to fries and a medium drink.

Chick-fil-A confirmed that employees will no longer pray with customers unless the order includes a combo meal, citing the rising cost of countertop grace and waffle fries.

Under the new policy, guests purchasing an individual sandwich may still receive a warm nod, a two-handed receipt transfer, and the phrase “my pleasure” delivered with enough eye contact to imply that grace remains possible at a higher price point.

“We remain committed to hospitality,” said guest care director Neal Bramlett. “But prayer is labor, and labor pairs best with a medium drink.”

Employees have been trained to identify customers seeking countertop comfort without committing to sides, including men who hover near the counter after ordering nuggets and women who say “just the sandwich” while clearly carrying a family situation.

The chain said premium prayer support will soon be available through the app, where guests can select “brief intercession” for 300 points or “the cashier knows” for 500.
