LinkedIn influencer Caleb Morris announced that his recent layoff has made him available for sponsored grief, opening a new content vertical for brands seeking authentic loss with light product integration.

Morris, who filmed the announcement beside a cardboard desk box and a ring light he called “the last manager who believed in me,” said he is offering packages ranging from a single reflective post to a five-part carousel about resilience presented by payroll software.

“Being let go taught me that companies are families,” Morris wrote. “Sometimes families delete your Slack access while you are eating cereal, and sometimes that cereal is a powerful brand moment.”

Marketing analysts said sponsored grief is a fast-growing category because audiences crave vulnerability, and vendors crave vulnerability that ends with a scheduling link.

Morris closed the post by thanking his former team, tagging 19 executives, and asking founders with a budget to DM before the shock wears off and he becomes merely employable.
