Editorial Standards

How VanFLIP handles satire, fictional bylines, corrections, images, and advertising boundaries.

Satire first

VanFLIP publishes satire. Articles use fictional scenarios, exaggerated quotes, and absurd framing to make jokes about real cultural patterns. We do not publish satire with the intent to mislead readers into believing a fictional event happened.

Fictional bylines

Author names are recurring fictional voices. Author archive pages exist to organize those voices and their stories, not to present real reporter biographies.

Advertising and analytics

Advertising should not be disguised as editorial work. Analytics are used to understand what readers open, share, and finish, not to make the site unreadable.
