The company said it supports access, dignity, and all other values that can be discussed after management finishes feeling attacked.

Starbucks says unionized stores will receive the bathroom key once corporate finishes processing everything that has happened.

The company said it remains committed to dignity, access, and a third value still being workshopped, but management needs time to sit with the way baristas have been speaking lately.

"We hear our partners," said workplace belonging vice president Marnie Kitt. "We also need them to understand that asking for scheduling stability while holding the bathroom key conversation in the same quarter can feel like a lot."

Union stores may request restroom access by submitting a form, attending a listening circle, and agreeing that the company has grown tremendously since it used to simply unlock doors.

Starbucks said it hopes to resolve the issue soon, provided the key does not become a bargaining unit.
