Australian metalcore act Northlane have revealed plans to release a new album filled with diss tracks. Titled ‘Straight Outta Sydney‘, the album will contain an array of classic diss tracks from the band, taking aim at some of their peers in the metalcore scene.
The news of the album comes after a string of recent Twitter beefs with other bands, including a particularly heated exchange with The Amity Affliction. In response, Northlane decided to take the argument to a new level with a full-length LP of diss tracks.
Frontman Marcus Bridge commented on the decision, saying:
“We weren’t happy with how our recent Twitter beefs were going, so we figured the best way to get our point across was to record a whole album of diss tracks. It’s going to be a bit of fun, but we think it will make a powerful statement and get people talking.”
The album is set to feature some of the band’s most scathing disses, such as ‘Amity Ain’t So Afflicting‘, ‘Parkway Drive Is Pulling Strings‘, and ‘Carnifex Can’t Wrex‘.
The album is expected to drop soon and will surely have the metalcore scene up in arms. Who knows what kind of chaos this album will bring?
