Rock legend Brian May of Queen fame has recently found a new way to show off his musical chops: hair-raising. That’s right. The 72-year-old guitarist is now playing his famous riffs by twirling his hair.
The unique approach to performance was discovered by accident when Brian was getting ready for a show. “I was just running my fingers through my hair and I started to hear a familiar sound,” he said. “I realized it was the solo from ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and I thought ‘hey, I could do something with this!’“
Since then, Brian has been perfecting his technique, which involves twirling and flipping his hair around in time with the music. He can even make it look like he’s playing the guitar, although the sound isn’t quite the same.
“It’s a bit like air guitar, but with hair!” he said. “It’s a lot of fun and it’s great to get out of the traditional way of playing music.”
Brian has taken his new talent on the road and performed it at several Queen concerts. The crowd always goes wild, and Brian can’t help but grin as he shows off his amazing skills.
It’s not just Queen fans who have taken notice of Brian’s hair-raising performance. The Internet is abuzz with videos of his performances, and the hashtag #BrianMayHair is trending on social media.
