LOS ANGELES – In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows dropped a bombshell when he revealed that he smells his own armpits. The rockstar nonchalantly admitted to taking a whiff of his armpits before hitting the stage, claiming it helps him get in the zone.
“It’s just something I’ve always done,” said Shadows, shrugging his shoulders. “I don’t think it’s weird at all. It’s just my way of getting ready for a show.“
Fans of the band were left scratching their heads, wondering if this was some kind of elaborate prank or if Shadows had lost his mind. But the rockstar insisted that his olfactory habits were just part of his routine.
“I mean, it’s not like I’m the only one who does this,” he said. “I know for a fact that there are other musicians out there who do the same thing. It’s just a way to psych yourself up before a show.“
However, not everyone was convinced by Shadows’ explanation. Some critics pointed out that the frontman’s distinctive smell – a potent blend of sweat, leather, and hair gel – could be off-putting to some concert-goers.
“He smells like a combination of a locker room and a beauty salon,” said one disgruntled fan. “I’m not sure I want to be anywhere near him when he’s in that state.“
Despite the backlash, Shadows remained unapologetic. He even joked that he might consider bottling his scent and selling it as a fragrance.
“Who knows, maybe ‘M. Shadows’ Eau de Parfum’ could be the next big thing,” he quipped.
