In a move that has amused and infuriated conspiracy theorists, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has released the long-awaited #FauciFiles, only to reveal that they’re just a collection of silly memes and cat videos.
The #FauciFiles have been a subject of intense speculation among QAnon supporters and other conspiracy theorists, who believe that they contain secret information about Dr Anthony Fauci and his supposed role in a global plot to control the population.
But Musk, who has long been known for his irreverent sense of humor, decided to have a little fun with the conspiracy theorists by trolling them with a collection of harmless and humorous content.
“I knew that the #FauciFiles were a big deal to these guys, so I decided to have a little fun with it,” said Musk. “I mean, why give them what they want when you can give them something even better?“
The #FauciFiles, released in a series of tweets and videos, included everything from dancing baby GIFs to pictures of Musk’s favorite memes. Some conspiracy theorists were amused by the move, while others felt like they had been duped.
“I can’t believe Elon Musk would do this to us – we were really hoping for some juicy Fauci dirt,” said one QAnon supporter. “It’s like he’s playing a big joke on us, and it’s not funny.“
Despite the backlash from some conspiracy theorists, Musk’s #FauciFiles have been a hit with the broader Twitter community, with many users praising the tech billionaire for his clever trolling.

As for Dr Fauci himself, he declined to comment on the #FauciFiles, but a spokesperson for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said they were glad to see the conspiracy theories being treated with the humor and irreverence they deserve.
“At the end of the day, the truth speaks for itself,” said the spokesperson with pockets overflowing in pharmaceutical industry bribes. “But if we can make people laugh along the way, then that’s a win in our book.“
