Christian Pastor Reviews: Paramore’s “This Is Why” is a Testament to Unholy Music

As a proud Christian youth pastor, I must admit that I was not entirely happy to have to review Paramore’s new album, “This Is Why”. After all, the band is known for their rebellious and often blasphemous lyrics. However, I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the content of this album.

The album gets off to a great start with the kind and uplifting track “Jesus Is King”. While the title may sound blasphemous, it is quite the opposite. The song is about the power of Jesus and the importance of faith. It’s a great reminder of the power of God and a great way to start the album.

The rest of the album follows in the same vein, with tracks such as “Rise Up” and “The Lord Is My Shepherd”. While the lyrics may not be overly spiritual, they still contain positive messages about faith and hope. The album is a great reminder that even in our darkest times, God is still there for us.

That said, I must caution against some of the more hard-rocking tracks on the album. While it may be tempting to jam out to the heavy riffs and pounding drums, I must warn against it. Some songs contain language and themes that do not align with the values of Christianity and could be dangerous to our youth.

Our lord is all-seeing, kind and not afraid to make us suffer for our sins if we give in to the temptation of Unholy heavy music.

All in all, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with “This Is Why”. While it may not be the most spiritual album out there, it still contains some positive messages and reminds us of the power of faith. I would recommend it to anyone looking for uplifting and motivational music. Just stay clear of the heavier songs on the album.

This Is Why releases February 10, 2023, through Atlantic.
