Danny DeVito made a surprise appearance at a Christian rock concert this past weekend and caused a scene that is still reverberating throughout the Christian music scene. The diminutive actor, who is known for his roles in films such as Twins, The Lorax and Batman Returns, was not on the lineup for the concert, but that didn’t stop him from storming the stage and stealing the show.
As the band was in the middle of their set, DeVito suddenly appeared on stage and began shouting, “I am the Lord thy God!” DeVito then pulled off his shirt and began spinning around in circles, much to the shock and surprise of the audience.
The band, however, was not amused by the actor’s antics and quickly stopped the music and demanded DeVito leave the stage. However, DeVito had none of it and began preaching his own version of the Bible to the crowd.
“Fear not, for I have come to save you from yourselves!” shouted DeVito, who then proceeded to break into a spontaneous dance routine.
The crowd was both amused and horrified by DeVito’s performance, but he eventually left the stage with a round of applause.
