Residents of the Sunny Acres Nursing Home were left in disbelief when they discovered that 90s pop sensation Hanson was now living among them.
“I had no idea they were still alive,” said 92-year-old Betty Williams. “I thought they were just a figment of my memory from the 90s.”
The trio, now in their 40s, have traded in their long hair and matching bowl cuts for balding heads and reading glasses. But despite their aged appearance, the brothers still possess the same boyish charm that made them teenage heartthrobs.
“I thought it was just another one of the nurses playing a prank on us,” said 84-year-old George Thompson. “But then I heard them singing ‘MMMBop’ in the recreation room and I knew it was the real deal.“
The nursing home staff has reported that the brothers have been entertaining the residents with impromptu performances of their hit songs, much to the delight of the elderly crowd.
“I never thought I’d live to see the day when I would get to sing along to ‘Where’s the Love’ with actual Hanson,” said Williams.
When asked about their decision to move into a nursing home, the brothers stated that they wanted to be closer to their core demographic.
“We realized that our fans from the 90s are now in their golden years and we wanted to be able to connect with them on a more personal level,” said Isaac Hanson.
The nursing home staff is now considering incorporating Hanson’s music into their daily activities, including “MMMBop” line dancing and “I Will Come to You” karaoke.
“We’re just glad to see that these young men have found a way to connect with their fans, no matter how old they may be,” said nursing home administrator, Sally Johnson.
So, if you’re feeling old and nostalgic, head on down to Sunny Acres Nursing Home and relive the 90s with Hanson. Just don’t forget your hearing aids.
