Last night, fans were left in awe as Metallica front-man James Hetfield paused a sold-out show to take a much-needed bathroom break. The shocking move, which Hetfield attributed to “not being able to hold it in anymore,” has left fans questioning everything they thought they knew about the rock icon.
“I couldn’t believe it,” said fan Jane Smith. “Here I am, head-banging to ‘Master of Puppets,’ and all of a sudden, James stops the music and says he needs to pee. I thought he was joking at first, but then he actually left the stage.“
The break lasted roughly five minutes and had fans scrambling to take pictures and videos of the empty stage. Some even reported hearing the sound of Hetfield’s urine hitting the toilet water from the back of the arena.
“I’ve been a Metallica fan for over 20 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said fan Michael Johnson. “I always thought James was some kind of superhuman who didn’t need to pee. But I guess he’s just like the rest of us.“
The band returned to the stage with Hetfield apologizing for the interruption and explaining that “sometimes, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.” The crowd, showing their support, chanted “James, James” as he finished his sentence.
“I think it’s pretty cool that James isn’t afraid to show his human side,” said fan Emily Davis. “It makes him even more relatable.“
The incident sparked a renewed admiration for Hetfield, with fans praising his honesty and willingness to break the “rockstar” mold.
In related news, Metallica’s merchandise team will now be selling T-shirts that read, “I saw James Hetfield take a pee break.”
