A man was caught on camera starting an argument with his wife in the parking lot of a Popeye’s chicken restaurant over which fried chicken is the best. The tense exchange has left many wondering just how far people will go to defend their favorite fast food joint.
According to eyewitnesses, the man, identified only as Hank, was attempting to park his car when his wife, Sheila, suggested that they try a new chicken place down the street. This seemingly innocuous suggestion quickly escalated into a full-blown argument, with both parties passionately defending their favorite fried chicken restaurant.
“Hank was all like, ‘No way, Popeye’s is the best!’” said one witness. “And Sheila was all like, ‘Uh, excuse me, KFC is clearly superior.’“
As the argument continued, other patrons of the restaurant began to take notice. Some tried to intervene and suggest that they try both places and decide for themselves, while others simply watched in amusement as the couple bickered.
“It was like watching a cartoon,” said another witness. “I half expected them to start throwing pies at each other.“
Eventually, the argument simmered down, with Hank and Sheila agreeing to disagree and get some Popeye’s chicken for dinner. It’s unclear whether they were able to truly enjoy their meal after such a silly argument.
The incident serves as a reminder that even the most trivial matters can lead to explosive arguments, and that fried chicken is clearly a matter of national importance. So the next time you’re in a fast food parking lot, be sure to keep your cool and respect each other’s favorite chicken joints.
