A shocking revelation has come to light that Dr Dre, a legendary rapper and producer, is not a licensed medical doctor. The truth came to light during an Eminem concert in Detroit when a fan collapsed, and Dr Dre could not perform CPR.
“I was just standing there, watching the concert, and all of a sudden, this guy just drops to the ground,” said Mary Johnson. “Everyone was freaking out, but Dr. Dre just looked at him and said, ‘I’m not a real doctor’.“
According to sources close to the rapper, Dr Dre has used the “Dr.” title for decades as a nickname but has never actually attended medical school or received a medical degree.
“I don’t know how I thought I could get away with it for so long,” said Dr Dre. “I guess I just thought it sounded cooler than ‘André’.“
The incident has caused a stir in the music industry, with many calling for Dr Dre to change his stage name and for stricter regulations on medical titles by non-medical professionals.
“This is a serious matter,” said American Medical Association spokesman Dr James L. Madara. “We cannot have individuals falsely representing themselves as medical professionals, especially when lives are at stake.“
In response to the incident, Dr Dre has announced that he will change his stage name to “André” and has pledged to take a CPR course.
“I realize now how important it is to know how to save a life,” said André. “I hope this incident serves as a reminder to all of us to be prepared in case of an emergency.“
The fan who collapsed at the concert is said to be in stable condition and is recovering at a local hospital.
