Australian metalcore band Patient Sixty-Seven is teaming up with hardware store giant Bunnings to give fans a delicious treat at their upcoming shows: snags. That’s right, the beloved Australian delicacy of sausages on cheap stale bread will now be available to headbangers and moshers alike.
“We know that our fans are hungry for more than just heavy riffs and breakdowns,” said lead vocalist Tom Kiely. “They also want some good old-fashioned Aussie grub. That’s where Bunnings comes in.“
According to a press release, Bunnings will be setting up a barbecue station at each of the band’s upcoming shows, where fans can purchase snags for a few dollars. The snags will be served up with classic condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce, and will be cooked to perfection by Bunnings’ expert grillmasters. Onions are optional, to give fans the true Bunnings experience.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Patient Sixty-Seven to give fans an unforgettable concert experience,” said a spokesperson for Bunnings. “There’s nothing like a good snag to keep you fueled up for a night of headbanging and moshing.“
Of course, not everyone is thrilled about the partnership. Some fans have expressed concerns that the smell of cooking sausages will distract from the band’s music, while others have complained that they’d rather just have a cold beer.
But Patient Sixty-Seven is confident that their fans will love the addition of snags to their shows. “We’re all about giving our fans what they want,” said Kiely. “And what they want is meat in bread. So get ready to rock out and chow down!“
The band’s upcoming tour, aptly named “The Snagfest,” is set to kick off next month. So grab your metal horns and your appetite, and get ready for a night of heavy music and delicious snags.
