What was touted as the patriotic and awe-inspiring flyover for Superbowl LVII has been revealed to be yet another military attack on pesky extraterrestrial threats.
“We thought it was just a routine flyover to pump up the crowd,” said one bewildered spectator. “But then we saw the missiles and the lasers, and we were like, ‘Oh, this is obviously just the military taking out some aliens.‘”
The military, as usual, was tight-lipped about the whole affair, only releasing a statement that read, “We can confirm that the flyover was indeed a display of our advanced military capabilities, but we do not comment on classified extraterrestrial encounters.“
But the truth is out, and UFO enthusiasts couldn’t be happier. “This is the best Superbowl ever!” exclaimed one enthusiastic fan. “I mean, sure, the game was okay, but seeing the military take down some aliens? That’s just a touchdown in my book!“
As for the aliens, sources say they put up a good fight, with some even attempting to return fire with their advanced extraterrestrial weapons. But in the end, it was no match for the might of the US military.
