Canadian metalcore band Counterparts have decided to make their upcoming show a very unique one. Instead of cancelling their show, they have invited ticket holders to join them at the courthouse for jury duty!
Lead vocalist Brendan Murphy said, “We’re so excited to bring a little rock and roll to the courtroom! We know it’s not the traditional venue for a show, but we think it’ll be a great way for us to get everyone involved in the judicial system. We also couldn’t get out of it”
The band plans to perform a few of their greatest hits from the comfort of the jury box, as well as some of their newest material. Fans of the band can expect an electrifying show, complete with the usual mosh pits and crowd surfing.
The band’s manager, John Sainte-Marie, had this to say about the decision: “We’ve been thinking outside the box for a while now and this seemed like the perfect way to get our fans involved in the criminal justice system. We’re hoping that this will encourage more people to get involved in the jury duty process, and who knows, maybe it’ll even inspire a few more people to pursue a career in law!”
The show is set to take place in a few weeks, and it’s sure to be a memorable one. So if you’re a fan of Counterparts, be sure to round up your friends and head to the courthouse for a show you won’t soon forget!
