It’s a tale as old as time, or at least as old as Twitter: a musician, an internet troll, and a lot of drama. But in this case, the musician in question was none other than Ronnie Radke, lead vocalist, of Falling In Reverse, and the internet troll was a bunch of anonymous Twitter users.
Yes, folks, it seems that Ronnie had gotten into a heated online feud with a group of Twitter users, who he claimed were spreading lies and negativity about him. And he wouldn’t let it go until he had the last word.
“These kids just don’t understand me,” Ronnie declared as he locked himself in the tour bus and refused to leave until he had personally responded to every single negative comment. “They think they can talk trash about me online and get away with it? Not on my watch.“
Of course, the irony was not lost on fans, who were quick to point out that Ronnie was, in fact, a grown adult and that it was a little odd for him to be getting into arguments with anonymous kids on Twitter. But Ronnie was having none of it. He was on a mission to prove to the world that he was the bigger man and would not be intimidated by anonymous online bullies over twenty years younger than him.
As the minutes ticked by and the crowd grew restless, the other members of Falling In Reverse began to lose their patience. “Ronnie, we’re on in five minutes!” they shouted. “Do you really want to miss your own show?“
But it was too late. Ronnie was too deep, and there was no pulling him away from his virtual brawl. The show eventually went on in the end, but 45 minutes late and with a much-diminished crowd. And while Ronnie may have won the battle on Twitter for now, he lost the war in the hearts and minds of his fans.
So next time you’re at a Falling In Reverse show and the start time is delayed, remember: it’s probably because Ronnie is busy responding to mean tweets from anonymous Twitter users, mostly kids. At the same time, he is allegedly a grown adult. And you can’t make this stuff up.
