In today’s digital age, it can be hard to imagine that a simple CD could profoundly affect people. But a group of researchers at a small university in the Midwest recently conducted an experiment that proved just that.
The researchers took a group of children, ages 4-10, and gave each of them a CD of their choice. Then they let the kids listen to their CDs for a few hours and see what happened.
The results were astounding. After just a few hours of listening to their CDs, the kids began to act like cave people. They started grunting, gesturing, and running around in circles. They even started using crude tools to hunt for food and build primitive shelters.
The researchers theorized that these primitive behaviors resulted from the kids subconsciously connecting the music to their ancestors’ lives in the Stone Age.
The researchers concluded that, while CDs are often thought of as a relic of the past, they can still have a powerful impact on the mind. So if you’re looking for an easy way to take a trip back in time, all you need is a CD and a little imagination.
