Jeff Beck fans rejoice! After Rolling Stone’s article claiming the guitarist never had a signature song, Beck is getting his revenge from beyond the grave – literally.
In a supernatural twist, the ghost of the late guitar legend Jeff Beck is currently haunting the offices of Rolling Stone magazine after the publication’s factually incorrect article. Beck is said to be turning lights on and off, slamming doors, and making strange noises, all in a bid to get his name out there and set the record straight.
One Rolling Stone staffer, who wishes to remain anonymous, claims to have seen the ghostly figure “from the corner of my eye” while working late at night. “I heard what sounded like a guitar riff, and when I turned around there was nothing there,” the staffer said.
While the magazine’s editors are doing their best to keep a brave face, it’s clear that they are terrified of the supernatural events taking place. One employee described Beck’s ghost as “haunting us like an angry banshee”, and another said they felt like they were being “followed by a dark presence” while walking the halls.
Since the article was published, Beck’s former collaborators and artists have spoken out and declared that the guitarist did have a signature song – “Beck’s Bolero” – which is regarded as one of his most iconic songs.
“I know Jeff is still with us, and I’m sure he would find this situation funny,” Roger Waters of Pink Floyd said. “He was a real character, and I’m sure he’s making the most of this afterlife, even if that is haunting the piss stained halls of Rolling Stone.“
Jeff Beck is still making his presence felt in the music world – even from beyond the grave. Rolling Stone can only hope that this haunting ends soon, or else they may never be able to shake off the ghostly vengeance of Jeff Beck.
