In a move that has sent hipsters across the world into a frenzy of excitement, beloved indie-rock band Neutral Milk Hotel has announced plans to release a special vinyl box set of their two album releases as well as some rarities.
The news came as something of a surprise to fans, considering the group has been on an extended hiatus. But that hasn’t stopped hipsters from rejoicing at the news, with many of them already making plans to line up outside record stores at midnight on the day of the release.
“It’s like a dream come true,” said one excited fan, sporting a pair of thick-rimmed glasses and a vintage T-shirt. “I can just imagine how cool it will be to spin these vinyls on my old turntable, while sipping on a locally-made craft beer and wearing a fedora.”
‘The Collected Works of Neutral Milk Hotel’ will arrive February 24 via Merge, and contains both the band’s 1996 debut ‘On Avery Island’ along with its acclaimed follow-up, 1998’s ‘In the Aeroplane Over the Sea’.
For fans of Neutral Milk Hotel, this box set is sure to be a must-have item. And for hipsters everywhere, it provides the perfect excuse for a good old-fashioned vinyl-listening session.
