Rockstar Games, the developers of the world-famous Grand Theft Auto franchise, have just announced their newest title in the series, Grand Theft Auto 6. In a daring move, the developers have decided to take the game in a completely new direction, turning GTA 6 into a family-friendly, educational game.
The new game will feature a variety of mini-games and puzzles that are designed to help teach children important life skills such as math, reading, and problem-solving. Instead of the usual mayhem and destruction, players will be rewarded for doing things such as helping elderly citizens cross the street and helping lost kittens find their way home.
Players will also be able to explore a vibrant virtual world full of characters who offer helpful advice and guidance. The game will also feature a wide variety of skill-building activities, such as gardening and cooking, and players can customize their own virtual homes with furniture and decorations.
Only one screengrab has been released, with the game still possibly two to three years away from completion. It looks great and very next-gen.
In what some critics are already calling “stunning and brave”, Rockstar has put a lot on the line here. Rockstar Games CEO had the following to say:
“We are really excited to be able to offer a new take on the GTA franchise. We wanted to show our fans that we can take a classic game and give it a fresh spin. We think that this new direction will surprise and delight players of all ages.”
So break out your fish tanks and get your oven mitts ready, because Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming soon.
