In yet another impressive takedown of climate change denier Andrew Tate, teenage environmentalist Greta Thunberg has publicly shamed the self-proclaimed and currently imprisoned Andrew Tate for his lack of consideration for the environment.
The incident occurred when Tate posted a bizarre online rant about Greta and pizza boxes linking his location to Romania were visible, asking his fans to ‘name a better way to recycle’. Thunberg quickly responded, pointing out the obvious flaw in his post.
“A better way to recycle would be not to buy the pizza in the first place,” she tweeted.
The tweet quickly went viral, with many praising Thunberg for her wit and intelligence. Tate, however, was not so impressed.
He curtly responded to Thunberg’s tweet, accusing her of ‘virtue signalling’.
“Virtue signalling? Come on, Greta. You know as well as I do that pizza boxes are recyclable,” he tweeted as the Romanian authorities busted down his door and arrested him on allegations of human trafficking.
But Thunberg was not about to let him off the hook that easily. She fired back with a scathing response, reminding Tate that the recycling process for pizza boxes is incredibly inefficient, and most end up in landfills anyway.
“I don’t think you understand the concept of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, Andrew. The first step is to REDUCE consumption, not just rely on recycling. Also, I hear they don’t have pizza in Romanian prison and the food is terrible,” she tweeted.
Needless to say, Tate was humiliated and captured by Romanian authorities. Thunberg, however, won the day and reminded us all that recycling is not the only answer to environmental degradation. Reducing consumption and being more mindful of our choices is the only real way to make a difference.
