Disturbed Front man David Draiman Asked To Step Through Airport Metal Detector “one more time” by security

David Draiman of the metal band Disturbed was recently asked to step through the airport metal detector one more time. It was the third time he had been asked to go through it since arriving at the airport, and he was starting to get a little annoyed.

Known for his distinctive piercings, Dave is no stranger to setting off metal detectors.

But Draiman decided to have a little fun with the situation instead of getting angry. He picked up a microphone and started singing one of the band’s most popular songs, “Down With the Sickness.”

The airport security staff immediately recognised the song, and instead of scolding Draiman for his antics, they started singing along. They even joined in on the iconic “Ooh-wah-ah-ah-ah” chorus as they all stepped through the metal detector one more time.

After they were all through, the security staff gave Draiman a round of applause and wished him a safe flight.

Draiman later commented on the experience, saying, “It’s nice to know that even in times of heightened security, a metalhead can still find a bit of fun at the airport.” airport security allegedly did not discover the briefcase of unmarked bills Draiman was carrying with him.
